Im about to buy another camaro. I really found a 95 that i like. BUt thats obdI. And in 96 they went to obdII. Im finshing up on my 383 supercharged lt1. Which car would you choose to tune. Other that obd1 and obdII i dont know any other differences besides the 96 has two cats. Is there any good reason to look for a 96 instead of going with the 95.

Tuning and diagnostic tools are much cheaper for OBD-I, if that makes any difference to you. 95 OBD-I and 96 OBD-II are pretty much the same in functionality, except that the OBD-II adds more emissions monitoring (which does nothing in the way of enhancing performance).

OBD2 enables you to tune out certain parameters of the PCM to pass emissions in a emissions county. This enables you to run a more aggressive cam or setup under emissions law.

If your in a non emissions county then go OBD1
