Post where to start w/ tuning

This question may sound dumb but here goes. I have tuning from PCM for less right now. I have Tunercat but I haven't really figured out how to use it. Bryan is sending me an updated program for my car tonight. What are the steps that I need to take in order to program my new program into the PCM. I don't know where to start with this. Can someone walk me through it?

As long as everything is setup right to begin with (injector size (your ok), gears (probably setup right for you) then I would say scan it first to see where you are rich.

Try Freescan and start adjusting the PE ratio (calculated using %Change temp and %Change rpm) down to around 900 or slightly less (your not blown or anything so you'll make the most power in the 800 range). Stoch is .450 so even .8 is very rich.

Hal, My problem is I'm not sure how to send the program to my PCM right now. I haven't even messed with changing anything around yet. I'm just getting started. Please excuse my ignorance.

Email TunerCat and request the Windows Flash utility. They will respond today with the link. Also, email them with any question you have, they are quick to respond.
