Where do I get.....
Where do I get.....
LT1 Edit for a reasonable price? getting dyno tuned at kennedy's dyno, my knock sensor is off and fuel banks are off.....hoping to get this resolved with a tune. She is running to rich....thanks for any info.
www.carputing.com is the only source for LT1 Edit. Be happy you didn't have to buy the OBD II version...ouch.
They are $200 for the kit right? What is the process of getting this....their website is a bit confusing...about sending some file and then getting the program...or do you just fill out the form and they send you the program...how does it work?
They basically want you to send them your VIN number on the PCM so the program only works for your vehicle and not your buddies. Get tuner cat and screw lt1 edit, its cheaper, has everything lt1 edit has, and has the option of configuring more than one type of vehicle

Hi Mark,
We have one expert editor version, and it has everything in it (same
as the professional tuners). The software costs $200 for one PCM. If
you need a logging scanner, that would be $50.
You will also need a cable, from www.akmcables.com. It costs around
$90.
All you need is a laptop (with a serial port), and you can tune over
and over. You can adjust the knock sensitivity and its effects, and
afr. Please see our 94/95 webpage for all the things you can change
with LT1-edit."
Mann...thats expensive.....

If they were to just manually enter your vin then send you the program, you might have a flaky cable, can't get things to work, and worse, damage the PCM on the upload. So, if you are able to send them a good file, it tells them that you have your setup in order and have figured out how to connect your computer to your PCM

is the cable for the LT1 edit software same as the cable that connects the scanner to the pcm module for code scanning?
