So I need to focus on the part throttle tune before I move on to the WOT tuning, should I run the tune thru VEmaster.......I have used VEmaster on my friends car and did not really seem to help......If anything it screwed up his part throttle BLM's.

The ve tables do jack crap while you're in maf mode, absolutely nothing so ve master will be useless for what you're doing. If you want the tune to be complete the car should be put into speed density mode and ve master should be used to tune part throttle in speed density, then manually smooth out the tables using the 3d graphs in tunercat. The reason you do this is in the event of a maf sensor failure you're still tuned up perfectly to drive it until you get it fixed.

If you're going to tune wot the first thing you need to do is get a wideband and set up the car so you can log the a/f at wot; otherwise you're just stumbling around in the dark guessing where you are.

My suggestion to you is this, go back to a stock maf table calibration before you do anything else. Then see where you are and figure out your knock issue. After that the order doesn't matter what order you do things in really.

OK I will start there, I am in the process of getting a wideband so soon I should be able to tune WOT. My main concern now is the part throttle tune, I will log the car later and start with the stock MAF tables and go from there.
I know the car has more in it, I was very surprised I managed to run 13.003 @ 111 mph with the knock issue and the tune being off. Hope I can dip in to the 11's when everything is all worked out in the end.

You are not going to hurt it part throttle, and as long as the car is not at the blm limits of 108/160 then it is running 14.7 avg air fuel ratio. Which is the beauty of closed loop.

mightymouse383; After reading thru this thread, I would like to talk to you about tuning. When can we get together? Send me a Private Message if you wish. I am just on the other side of I95, off of Rt 46.

Well put the lt4 KM in and took the car for a spin and did a short log, the car felt very different it was very low on power and had a sort of miss fire. I then did a WOT run and the car ran like crap! I then started to think it was the lt4 KM and decided to do a little bit of an investigation and found I had a burned plug wire for cylinder # 6 and a steady miss on that cylinder. Now I have a new plug wire and will install it soon and will then begin to tune again. I did notice that the knock was almost completely gone.....only pulling 4 degree's up around 4000 rpm's which still might be knock, maybe from the miss fire?
