weird tach read out

i have a new tune loaded into my pcm (pcmforless.com) and it runs awesome. i was running a scan last night just to check the trans temp's after the new converter and the tach reads 350-400 rpm higher on my dash than it does in the scan. i feel like the number isn the scan is closer to the correct number. anyone got any input at all?? it all matched before the tune so i am confident the tune had something to do with it. thanks.

Might want to check where the delay is set at in your computer program.

Re: weird tach read out

The delay is actually part of the computer program. There is a little drop down menu that has different delays to set. The tachometer on your dash is probably more accurate because it reads straight off the ECM. Since the tach doesn't really have a bunch of settings to adjust it, the ECM is telling it what to display. I would mess with the delay in your computer until the two matches.
