Wanted PCM Tuner That pays attention

Hey All;
I am looking for a PCM tuner, prefer DFW area, that at the very least pays attention to what i tell them the mods are on the car. Someone that can read logs and make adjustments. I have Tuner, DataMaster and Freescan. I am tired of the mail order tuners that send a generic profile to everyone. Like I told the last tuner i had 32# injectors and they set it for 25 or something silly. Just one very small example. I am willing to pay the right person, hell i have been paying the wrong people, as i feel it is somewhat over my head.
I am worn out from the rest, now looking for the best!

PM me if you like.

I don't know who you used but maybe your tuner knows more about what injector constants go where than you do.

Tuning is more than punching in 32lbs on a 30injector.

I realize it's no solution, but I'd be happy to help you understand the stuff if you want to do it yourself.

I thought it was over my head, and some parts still are, but I'm learning.

One thing those generic tunes are good for is a learning tool. You can compare them to the stock tunes and note the differences with your logging software.

I completely understand that point. That is just one example for conversation sake. When I lost almost 2 seconds in 0-60 time with a "custom" tune i started to try to figure out why. I realize most tuners know far more than i would dream to know and freely admit it. However i know how the car behaves on the track. Losing 10 seconds in lap time is how i measure a good or bad tune. So again i need to find someone that will at least look at the logs to make adjustments not just make a small timing adjustment because that is what everyone else does. Just my personal experience. I am tuning in a new car and need a tuner that will look at logs no guess. No flames and no names please! Thanks

Send me your logs/current tune & your mods you made, but you have to understand it logs only tell so much, but I never tune without them as you need to know what the heck is going on, at times you'll see problems like valve float appear on a log & people don't realize it, etc... & keep tunning around it. If you have no tunning software send me the PCM, either way here is my email addy:

How can you tell in a log if you're getting valve float? Or at least what are indicators of it?

Re: Wanted PCM Tuner That pays attention

valve float is indicated by a drastic loss of AFG's, o2s reading lean, rpm stays constant all at the same time.
