Unhappy Help with a a4 shifting problem

My brother jut bought a 94 Z with an a4. It will not shift until about 6200 rpm. We was just wanting to know if it is computer shifted like the later models? It will hit the rev limiter before it shifts. I had an s10 with a 95 lt1 in it with an a4 which had the same problem but the truck had a 3.42 gear where the car it came from had a 2.73. I had the computer tuned which solved the problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Help with a a4 shifting problem

It is computer controlled.
Are you sure it's not slipping or something?
Is the car modified..meaning that it could potentially have a modified PCM?
