Wait for Tunercat or buy LT-1Edit for OBD-2?

I've been waiting over a year already...I email them(TunerCat) and don't get any replies. Does anyone have any inside info on whats going on? I already have enough saved for LT1-Edit but I'd rather save money and use it for like groceries or lunch money or mortgage.

I've had this 230/236 for awhile now and no tuning...also, anyone have a 230/236 tune they'd like to share? I need a place to start with so I can tune to what mods I have.
Thanks

TC is very busy really... its tough for them as they are not a complete crew of people... I guess they are coming out with this pretty soon.

Tunercat has been coming out with an OBD2 version for more than 2 years now. I have yet to see anything. I finally just switched to OBD1.

Re: Wait for Tunercat or buy LT-1Edit for OBD-2?

I was going to switch to OBD-1 but in california they plug into the diagnostic port for smog so that would've failed right on the spot...not that the cam would pass anyway. Well at least until I can figure out a way to tune it to pass. So I'm guessing I should just bite the bullet and get LT1-EDIT. In any case does anyone know how much Tunercat for OBD-2 would've cost?

TC's OBD2 stuff will be released soon. I know for all of those that has been waiting it is nearly ready I too have been doing some testing with TC and I can tell you that the wait will be worth it. If you can hold out for a little longer you will not be disappointed and of course in typical TC fashion support will be there as before and you will save some of your hard earned cash! And the program will NOT be locked to one pcm!

A few questions.
Will it be sold as a .def file that we just add to the existing tuner program?
How much will it be?
What cable will it use?

Oh great more waiting...I just don't want to have that ripped off feeling from buying LT1-Edit for OBD2. I can see spending $300 or so but $550? I guess I'll just wait but if someone could give an approximate date for release I would be grateful. Within this year would be good as well. I can hold out for that long.

From what I am hearing from TC it will be a lot sooner than a year. I am thinking in the next couple of months. I know its been a long time but it is very close. In the same fashion as before, there will be no PCM or VIN locking of the software. You will buy the base OBD2 tuner package which includes one PCM definition file of your choice and it will include the communications cable. If you want to do a different model year PCM then just purchase the PCM definition for that PCM. Pretty much the same TC that we are all used to, and same great support!
