Vats disable question?

Before I have my ECU reprogrammed I have a question about the VATS disable offered by them. I have a resistor soldered in there now to override it, if I disable it will the resistor have to come out or can I leave it alone? Thanks.

shouldnt make a difference in my opinion. if the ecu isnt looking for the resistance then the resister being there or not shouldnt matter

Thank you, I know it's probably a no-brainer question, but my OCD has to be appeased sometimes.

+1 on meangreen's answer (post #2) ... don't forget the resistor is allowing the Theft Deterrent Module (aka: VATS) do two things 1- signal the PCM (allows injectors to pick) and 2- picking the Theft Deterrent Relay (TDR) that allows the starter solenoid to pick. If you pull the resister the security lite will come on, injectors will still work due to programming out PCM VATS, BUT the starter will not pick unless you bypass the TDR. So keep the resistor in...
