Question Tuning suggestions needed...Please come in and post.

I am looking into getting computer reprogramming done to my 1997 Z28. First of all, let me list my mods:
LT4 Hot Cam Kit w/1.6rr, LT4 Extreme Duty Timing Chain, LT4 KM, Moroso CAI, SLP Headers, !CATS.....and some suspension bits and pieces.
Right now, the car actually runs pretty good, with one exception: at about 1500-1800 rpm, the car won't pick up the way it used to. I know this is mostly due to the camshaft, but I was just wondering if there is any way to correct this. I also need to take care of some of the misfiring issues I have at higher RPM. Do you think I should get some reprogramming done, or should I leave it alone. I have heard mixed reviews about reprogramming, so I am a little hesitant.
Please help me out, any suggestions would be welcome. If you have reprogramming done to yours, let me know how it worked out. Thanks a lot.

Mixed reviews on reprogramming?
Get it reprogrammed by someone who knows what they're doing, you won't have a "mixed" review then.

That is the problem though, I have done some research, and there aren't many people who know what they are doing around where I live, and I don't want to take any chances cause I know it can get expensive.

Hmm...well with a hotcam car it seems that it is common enough that some of the better mail order guys have it pretty well nailed. Try that?
