So I am trying to get my 383 open loop car to run correctly. I am using a LM-1 Innovate Wideband. I am also using lt1 Edit, and various scanner software. The wideband o2 sensor was placed at the bottom of the header, before it goes into the y pipe. The cam is a 23x/23x .600 10x, it has 24° of overlap.

1.People are telling me that the wideband readings are not going to be accurate due to the size of the cam and the amount of over lap, is this true?

2. The cars desired idle is 938, and idles between 950-1000 with a Kpa of 68-70. The idle afr is in the 15-16, is this correct?

3. I know that a given AFR is not what is needed to be achieved, but what the car actually wants and needs. How do I go about achieving this in the proper way? Thanks a lot guys.
