Tuning for 96: JET, LT1 edit, obd1 conversion?

I have a 96 camaro w/ 6m, little mods right now but would like something I could grow into and play with. Which programing would be more beneficial for me? It seems that OBD1 programs are cheaper and converting isn't too expensive, would that be the better choice?

Thanks

Convert to obd1 and use tunercats. The obd1 conversion netted me about 12rwhp with the same a/f ratio on the same day. Tunercat will let you program basicly as many obd1 lt1 cars as you want, as well as other cars if you buy the def files. Its not super user friendly, but once you get used to it, its pretty powerful. They have also made some changes to definition files for me when I had cars that were a handfull to tune.

Usually when I do an obd1 conversion I just open the pcm up and solder a resistor into the board. Its alot easier than changing the knock sensor and quite a bit cheaper too.

Neither route is really a huge savings over the other, but obd1 is slightly cheaper depending on how you go about it. Plus not having so many "keys" is a really nice touch if you have friends or more than one lt1powered ride.

Do you do these conversions? How much do you charge? Any other info would be appreciated about it.

The conversion is really so easy a dog could do it. It takes the ability to solder and the correct 20 cent resistor from radio shack and about 2 minutes. There are threads on here with pictures, just search for obd1 and resistor mod or something along those lines. Theres a couple ways to do it pick whichever is easy for you.
