Disabling skip shift with LT1 Edit

I'm new to this so here goes.
I was throwing code# P1657 for skip shift solenoid control circuit after my M6 swap and reflashed pcm.
So I went in and disabled cags and tried that, still had the light on.
I got back into lt1 edit in the hardware verification tab under other engine parameters and scrolled down to the code and where it says "Does error set SES lamp" I toggled that to off. No more check engine light!
Is this going to still be an issue without triggering the light or is it all taken care and be in ready mode for when I get emmisions?
