Tunercat problems

I just got Tuner Cat and loaded my first tune and now my tach and speedo dont work??? The only thing that I touched was the speed calibration and the fan speed. Can anyone help me figure out what is going on.

Re: Tunercat problems

The first thing I would do is load your original tune back on and see what the result is.

Re: Tunercat problems

You car is a '94, so double check if you have done changes in proper ECM (in TunerCat), because there are two: EEB and EE (EEB was for early '94). Changing it with wrong version will give you either not moving speedometer or speedometer moving all the way to the maximum just after you'll start rolling (and many other, more serious problems).

If you have lost your base calibration, email me with your VIN and I can send you a new GM calibration for your car.

Re: Tunercat problems

There are also databases that keep copies of original tunes. Do a yahoo search w/ "lt1 pcm file" and find the lt1 edit directory (you can open these in tunercats).

Jonota

ps I have a couple if you just want me to send you one.

One has to be real careful with downloaded tunes of uknown origins. You can use them for reference, but never just load them in your PCM. I have a GM SPS system here at home and if anyone needs a GENUINE GM calibration I can download one off the GM SPS (Service Programming System) for you. With that you will know its right

Re: Tunercat problems

theres 2 definition files $EE and $EEB try using the other one. I had the same problem a long time ago. Tunred out my 94 likes the $EEB definition file.

Re: Tunercat problems

tjwong- yeah, I have checked the ones I have versus my original program. I actually downloaded them to see the differences in the various computers, and the differences in computers that have been "tuned" with the various packages (hypertech, jet, etc).
