tunercat-How do you make it run?
tunercat flash utility
We've run into the read problem, many times. When that happens, just get the donor lt1 file from the diy-efi website, and use it to make a new program. We've got about 20 different lt1 calibrations that we use, and don't even read the old program anymore. One thing to make sure of is the battery voltage during the whole programming phase is 12.4-13.00 volts. SOMETIMES, the comm bus from the abs, etc, can cause a crash or problem, and removing those system fuses should solve that particular problem, if is the case. If you email me with your original calcode, I can send you the original cal file, if you'd like. Use the 4-digit code from the side of the box.

Finally, good news!
Just put Windows 98 back in, actually just had to delete ME, Windows 98 was already set up as the base system.
I ran the flashread program and it down loaded the ecm program without any problems
Also I ran the flash program right off the hard drive; I didn't have to down load it to disket first
Well next thing I have to figure out is how to upload my changes back into the ecm.
Oemfisystem, thanks for the input I will be taking you up on your offer. I would like to have the original file for comparison. My ecm has been recalibrated before.

The box you refer to is the ecm? I can't find a 4 digit code on it. Can you elaborate?

Sure, the PCM calibration is identified with a 4-digit broadcast code, and it is located on the white sticker on the side of the PCM, located by the passenger hood hinge, on the f-body. On those it is all letters, starting with a "B".
