Tunercat connection issues...

Hello guys..
I have a '97 car with OBD1 PCM and need to tune it with tunercat.. I have the program and the $EE file, Dell latitude laptop with USB and windows XP.
I borrowed a cable from my friend and we scanned it for SES codes.. So the cable should be good. But we did it with his computer....
I have SES code 16 (Distributor ignition system (low resolution pulse))... Could that be it? What is that code btw?

Thanks,
KR

The opti provides two reference signals - a "high" and "low" resolution pulse. This trouble code means the PCM detected a miss from the "low" resolution pulse. It could mean there's bad wiring between the distributor and the PCM, or there's a problem with the distributor.

If you're having trouble getting your cable to work, shoot me an email, I wrote an OBDI cable tester application for Windows that can help diagnose these problems.

I am lost. Your subject says your having "tunercat connection issues" but your post doesn't really describe any connection issues except that your having ignition issues??
