TTS Datamaster OBD1 Cable Tester Program

Is this cable tester program you can download from the TTS web site supposed to work for testing the AKM cables? I can't get it to work.

Yes, it does work for the AKM cable. I have an AKM cable and I used it to test my cable, and everything worked fine.

Reason I ask is I built my cable from the kit. I tried testing it with the TTS program and it failed every test. Naturally, I thought I did something wrong building the cable. I borrowed another AKM cable from a friend that I know works. I even read the program (using TC) out of his 94 Camaro with it and it even fails when running the TTS test program with his cable and the same laptop I used to read the program. I've been afraid to use the cable I built thinking it might have a problem, but now I'm not so sure.

I wrote a cable tester also, for another forum member. Essentially it tests the reliability of the connection to the PCM by reading the PCM memory but it also performs detailed logging so if something doesn't work, we can narrow it down.

Please send me email if you want to try it out.
