Trouble code
Trouble code
83 - TCC Comunication malfunction (ODM)
33 - MAP Sensor high output
If I remember correctly that is what the codes said they meant.
Anyone have any clue on how to resolve this? For code 33 I probably just need a new MAP Sensor, but I have no clue for 83.
TIA,
Eddie

the voltage between the gray+,and black- wires on the map sesor should be aprox 5 volts.the signal voltage between the green+ and black should be 4.5 to 5 volts with the ignition on(car not running) and 1.5-2.0 volts at idle.tcc comunication fault is a lil harder to check and im not sure if i know how,so maybe sombody else can chime in on that one.
Use Shoebox's list for LT1 codes.
DTC 83 = TCC PWM Solenoid Circuit Fault
DTC 33 = Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor circuit (signal voltage high, low vacuum)
With regard to the MAP sensor, how big is your cam? Sometimes, a little more detail than "A little of this a little of that" in your signature would help get your questions answered.
For the 93 ECM, the MAP code sets when the MAP at idle exceeds 68kPa.

So how can i get he MAP @ idle below 68KPA???Is this something that has to be done with tuning or is it something that has a snowball effect that causes the high MAP reading? My cam is in the 24x 25x range
