Timing Question

Timing Question

I am wondering what base timing (idle) is and what you guys are running for full timing on an LT1 car..Thanks for any info you've got. Thanks

You might want to check out a few sites that carry other .lt1 or .bin files and see what they have done.

From my readings, and looking at other files, I see a lot of non-modified timing tables or at the very most, a change of 2-3 degrees added across the board or in certain areas on LT1 cars. Personally, I have not fooled with mine as of yet since I believe that is where I will not see the most power increase. The most power I got was from WOT tuning AFTER I got my car running correctly in closed loop.

Well from your readings or others what is the initial timing and w.o.t. Sorry your link loaded but with errors it said. I didn't copy it to my browser though. Thanks for the help I am trying to set up a timing table so I need to know a.s.a.p.

timing maps are 3 dimensional based on MAP and RPM it is difficult to give you the info you are looking for because of that. The timing varies from 20 something to 40+ depending upon MAP and RPM.

I suggest you use what is existing.
