Thrown codes: P0135 & P0137; after LT install

I just got my car back from the shop after getting SLP LT's, Random Tech cats, 8mm wires and Iridium plugs installed.

On the way home the SES light came on. I plugged my Predator up to the car to read the codes, and this is what came up:

P0135: O2S Heater Curcuit, Bank 1 Sensor 1, Malfunction

P0137: O2S Circuit, Bank1 Sensor 2, low voltage

So basically, in laymans... what does this mean? Is one of my O2 sensors bad? Is it loose wiring?

Also... what kind of damage could this do to the car if ran prolonged like this?

I plan on getting it fixed ASAP, just wondering...

if the light came on on the way home and not right away I would be more led to think they let a wire rest up againsts the header and burned a wire.

Did they use O2 extensions to hook up the pre cat O2s? Or did they try to fab up wires themselves ?

Yep probably burned the O2 wires.

Actaully, it turned out to be nothing.

The PCM had to re-learn the new locations for the O2 sensors. I checked the O2 sensors and all wiring... everything was fine. So I went into the Predator and cleared the codes and took it for a spin...

... and no more thrown codes!

While there is a bit of adaptive "learning" in the 4th Gen PCM, it doesn't "learn" the locations of the sensors. If it set P0135, it was because it detected a malfunctioning O2 heater circuit. It does this by measuring the time until the sensor shows the required activity, indicating it is heated up, and then looks up the time in a table as a function of the average flow rate through the engine over that period of time.

P0137 is set when the PCM continuity test detects an O2 sensor stationary lean (low signal voltage) condition. The code sets when the signal is below 40mV.

It's been a couple days... and so far the SES hasn't come on since I cleared the codes.

Sorry... I think I worded what I wrote previously a bit weird.

What I meant to say was...

I think maybe the PCM had to relearn the changes in the O2 sensors made after the LT install and adjust accordingly.

I'm no expert car person or anything... but just my theory.
