For those interested in self PCM Reprogramming and Hacking

My intentions have always been for the good of the community. I was going to put up a web page with lots of info, which I am doing now... but it's just not enough.. so I put up a message board too.

http://pcm.dxsoftware.com/forum/

If you are interested in learning and actually tuning your own PCM or wish to help other projects, then I encourage you to check out the forum.

I think I covered the bases pretty well.

I know quite a few of you also wanted to try to program your own PCM's.. for you guys I will be posting some info shortly as well as a few binaries you guys can look at.

I'd really like to see some folks get together and work on custom DIY-EFI editors for a much more cost affordable price.

Enjoy!

PS. I did clear this with Chris first. Thanks Chris!

Hey, thanks for the link I'll check it out. I'm a EE and have just started researching this. I was recently laid off and have more time than money, hence can't afford OBD II LT1 Edit at this time. If you run across any good links (especialy hardware requirements) send me an email, kgercke@peoplepc.com.

I've been doing some searching the last couple of weeks and had a bunch of info bookmarked and then two days ago Internet Explorer crapped out on me and I lost all of my bookmarks. Although most of what I found was for reading from the PCM, not writing to it.

Thanks... I am just about ready to start learning. I have an ODB2 car that I am going to convert to ODB1 and use tunercat.
