Is there really much to gain by having a chip burned on a '93 SD car (bolt-on)?

Is there really much to gain by having a chip burned on a '93 SD car (bolt-on)?

...Tryin g to get more info on whether it is a good idea to do now or wait for bigger mods/nitrous later on down the road. The car runs good now, but it is close to its fullest potential with what's done to it already? Any/all help appreciated.

Even on a stock or bolt-on car, you can see some nice gains with a tune. If you don't foresee doing bigger mods for some time, then I would go ahead and get the PCM tuned now.

Since '99, I have had the Hypertech thermomaster chip in my '93, and no problems....
