Fellas, i recently bought a lightly used Actron Elite CP9185 scanner. Unfortunately it did not have the 8ft connector cable showed here..http://www.actron.com/product_detail.php?pid=16359

Its a male 15 pin adapter at both ends that is used to connect into the scanner and the obd2 cable. I called Actron to order it but they said they r all out and arent scheduled to have any until early February. I have called almost all the Actron distributors listed on their site and none of them sell just the 8ft cable. Have also tried radio shack and best buy to no avail.

Now, cant i just buy this cable from a tech site or something like that? It seems pretty basic/universal. Please provide me with a link or point me in the right direction to go about getting a cable like this. Thanks

No idea if the cable is universal or not. It looks similar to a 15 pin MIDI/gamepad cable from a PC. You may be able to find an extension cable online somewhere for cheaper but it might not work.

 

Yea thats actually one place, the monster site just redirects to the specialty tools site and i called them and they dont have it either. Thats what im saying the actual cable thats suppose to go with this system is non existent right now that is why im looking for a place that specializes in cables that either has something that works or can fabricate one.

That cablestogo link shows something very similar to what i need; the 6ft DB15 M/M Mac cable. Now to find out if the size will fit

Just an update i recieved the DB15 M/M cable and it works perfectly. Was cheaper than the one on Actron site as well Thanks
