Speed Density to OB1 MAF Setup
Speed Density to OB1 MAF Setup
What's it take to turn a 93 Camaro LT1 to a 94-95 ECU setup. I'd rather do that for the LT1 Edit tuning capabilites.
Thanks,
Bret

I know fast93z on this board is in the process of doing this/has done it. The simplest way would just be to get a new harness, esp. if the motor was already out of the car. I believe there is a plug in bulkhead just inside the firewall where the harness passes through that is interchangeable, so you will not have to rewire all that stuff.
If the tranny is an a4 you may have to do some computer tweaking or just call it a m6 since there are significant computer control differences between the two years - if it's a m6 it should be cake.

93 ecm best?
Alvin, You did my chip for the 944 Porsche(nice tune 1st time) but I am now going to stage 3 port job and 230/236 cam and was told that the map will lose it's signal at idle and low speed and will have to rely on tps mostly for low speed control and will idle rough and stumble at low speed.
You can remove the MAF on the 94 and what do you mean with EMULATION?
Im sorry... but just with the flash capability is a lot!
SFI vs BFI... sequential fire wins...
Do not buy lt1edit. get tunercat.. a lot cheaper and more changeable...

But not OEM... and for DFI... LS1 PCM... Its a lot faster as a PCM and in the good hands of a master ASM persona can make stuff you cant imagine.. like water injection controlled with the OEM PCM
Check out the australian guys!

not more power but a more eficient system yes...
With $20.00 parts yes.. but they add the tables to the PCM to control the water injection... Using the unused pins from the PCM... very different than using another thing...

i think the efficentcy is marginal if any too. I serously wouldn't give SFI a quarter of a mile per gallon over MFI. If anything I would thing MFI would be easier on injector drivers and the computer.
Unless each primary had its own o2 sensor I think SFI is no better than MFI. Remeber that vaccum during the intake stroke and the dynamics of how air moves in the intake determines fuel distribution not the injector ramming it down the valve.
The only advantage I see in a 94-95 system is that they are easier to tune fuel wize. But then again you don't have to worry about a limited sensor which is in my opinion on the flakey side with durability (espeically when people port them) and especially cost AND you have the ablity to tune while the car is running/driving in a 93.
OH.. and i thought he was doing something feasible like a 94-95 PCM you started talking about water injection tables in LS1 computers.. BIG difference. I suspsect they are just adding moduals which isn't too bad on that new ODB2 computer.
I myself am a water/alky injection user and theres really no need for it to be that complicated. a simple progressive kit or even something with a high speed injector controlled by injector driver switch is more than enough.

I am looking at tunning an 88 350TPI
Let me know what do you use for on the fly tunning.. I saw the romulator and TCs RT tuner..
let me know
They are using unused A/D inputs and creating the table.. Nothing difficult FOR THEM... I cant do it though... I would love to be able to do it
As I said before you can run SD on this pcms too.. but... I prefer the maf option
