spark retard and CCM questions

Someone mentioned a while back about the tranction control/ spark retard request and possibly using it for nitrous retard.. has that thought gone anywhere? I'm also curious about the vette 333 PCM and its ability to interface with a CCM? what exactly is its function? One more random thought.. can any of the unused outputs be used as an ECM controlled shift light? maybe the skipshift lamp?

Re: spark retard and CCM questions

I've heard of multiple people using the traction control spark retard for a nitrous retard. You just have to have a switch in the car that enables the "traction control". From shbox's site, it looks like you need to ground pin A23, which is orange/black on traction control enabled cars. From my understanding, you will not have that wire and will need to connect directly to that pin. You can then use C11 to turn your nitrous solenoid on.

Re: spark retard and CCM questions

very interesting.. how much timing does it actually pull? well I half way answered my last question.. I found the "Traction Control Spark Retard vs RPM" in Tunercat. I've heard pull on average 5 deg per 100hp shot? Is this correct? so in theory I would fill all RPM values with 5 deg? Or maybe there should be a curve on it? I will most likely use the LJO programmable progressive controller so I could copy the spark retard curve with the curve on the N2O controller. Any ideas on the other questions?

Re: spark retard and CCM questions

do the 93 ECMs have the Traction control/spark retard option?
