spark advance?

I just got a cable on monday so today i was just driving around and glance over to my lap top to see what was going on with the spark, knock, etc. so my question is at a stop light my advance was at 20, at around a 1/4 throttle the spark advance was around 40, Is that normal because it seems pretty high up there?

Re: spark advance?

With just knowing that, yes that's fine. My will go to 43. Just as long as it's not 40 in your upper TPS range

Re: spark advance?

There are two tables of spark advance as a function of RPM and MAP. I have part of one of the tables in my online scanner writeup. Those numbers seem consistant with the stock table:
