Angry Should my PCM be re programmed??

Well, I had this stumbling, bogging, no power problem, before I had my engine replaced. After I got my car back it ran really great for a few days, than it started this problem again. It runs great for 2 min now, than goes downhill with the stumbling and no power. Should my computer be re programmed, because I also have 4.11 gears and a new cam in it also? Can the computer be the cause of this problem or maybe it's my opti? Anyone have any suggestions? thanx.

I am leaning towards the opti being bad. Usually after a cam replacement you fuel and timing need to be adjusted but your car should have a bad stumble.

I would definiley get the computer reprogrammed after you fix teh stumbling because of the 4.11 gears and the added powr that cam be realized from the cam.

BTW what cam is it??

Thanx for the quick response. It's a lunati cam, although I can't find the specs on it right now, but when I find it, I'll post em. But the thing is, I dunno why the car would run fine for a few days, no probs at all, than go right back to running lousy all of a sudden. I would think it still would have run bad after the install if it was the opti. Do you think it could be bad wires or something or maybe 02 sensors? Thanx

Probably not the O2's. Your cheapest fix might be to replace the plugs and wires. If you are at all mechanically inclined you should be able to do it. Might take a while but I wouldn't waste money paying a dealer to do it. If that doens't fix it it is most likely the opti.

Maybe post your symptoms on the LT1 forum and see what people on there think.

I am interested in seeing the specs on your cam and what else you have done. Post it when you can.

Yeah I'm probably gonna replace the wires soon and possibly see if my pcm is screwed up. Cause i plugged one of those little scanners in the car and it didn't seem to recognize my computer, so maybe the computer is burnt up or something. Here are the mods to my car and the cam specs.

-----------------------

94 Z28, paxton 5-7 psi plus added high air flow impeller, subframe connectors, pro 5.0 shifter, lunati cam(.489in.503ex 268in 276ex) I don't know what this means though, air foil, msd 6AL, fan temp control, edelbrock jet coated headers, borla exhaust, 4.11 gears, eagle sport connecting rods, forged pistons.
