scanner

Hello I was wondering where can i get a scanner Like the dealer has or something that will konitor my car to see if everything runs right thanks...

Be prepared to spend some money if you want a scan tool like the techs at the dealership use. You can look on E-bay for Tech2 scan tools.

Here is where I got mine. I can do all makes of OBD1 and 2 + Enhanced Parameters including my wifes 2002 Ford Explorer. Mine is one of the older models called EZLink.

This site has good prices on scanners. I bought one of the Actron ones. They won't do everything a Tech2 will but are a lot cheaper.

Check Ebay- I just bought a OBDll scanner for 43.00 thats shipping included.

It should be delivered to the house tomorrow. Heres is some info from Ebay on the one I bought.

Its a code retriever. You can't get live sensor info with it. You also can't datalog with it.

Yep, that e-bay thing is not a scan tool. Only a code reader. But, it's a reasonable price for a code reader.

Suggesting that a $43 code reader is somehow equivalent to a Tech-2 is sort of a stretch.
