ScanGauge by LinearLogic

http://www.scangauge.com/

Hello friends,

I have found this nice tool in the web.... I think it's very interesting with a lot of features....
I have downloaded the pdf manual and it seems that this unit works with my 3,8L Camaro...

Have we someone on the Board who is using this gauge?

Any experience?

I would like to buy it, but I'm not 100% sure.......

Re: ScanGauge by LinearLogic

In the "compatible vehicles list" I found for 1999 "all"..... does it not include the GM 3,8L series 2 engine??

now I'm confused a little bit

is the later V6 ECM different to 1995?

Re: ScanGauge by LinearLogic

QUESTION: Will the ScanGauge II work on my vehicle?

ANSWER: The Scangauge II will work on most cars and light trucks since model year 1996. There are also some 1994 and 1995 models which the ScanGauge II will work on (see compatibility). There are some vehicles built after 1996 that the ScanGauge II will not work on or has some limitations in the gauges and trip information (see incompatibility).

It is for OBD-II vehicles, which your '99 is. It shoulld work, just don't expect every feature of the tool to work as it will only display what the computer is capable of monitoring.

Re: ScanGauge by LinearLogic

I have it!
and it worked perfect in my Camaro!
The only value that I can't see is the fuel pressure.....
I can use the trip computer to see my fuel consumption in real-time and the range with the amount of fuel in the tank.
The scanfunction helped me if the MIL lit up and I can read the freeze frame data during the error happend - of course, the ScanGauge shows me the error code (P0xxx) and I can clear the codes and the MIL.
A second function is to show the result of the onboard OBD test if the system is ready to pass emission test

At normal driving I can see four independet values from the sensors (what I want) incl. the fuel cosumption.....
a nice feature is the option to change most values to metric (Kilometer, Liter, kPa)

in the next days I'll post more experience with this nice ScanGauge.

special thanks to "RE AND CHERYL" from the board. Re managed the deal for me and send it to Germany!! Thanks Reiner
