scan tool(obd2)
scan tool(obd2)
i need something to check codes, and i need to be able to see what the sensors are doing, i was looking at this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...543128277&rd=1, would something like that be a good investment? any other suggestions. thanx
Re: scan tool(obd2)
I just bought Proscan and a few other monitoring programs.
It's a good deal with the elmscan interface which works with other programs including the free scantool which is mentioned in this slightly older thread.
By itself the interface is 90.00.

Re: scan tool(obd2)
If all you want to do is read and clear codes very quickly, Autozone sells a simple scanner that reads and clears all brands of obd2 cars for 90.00.
Otherwise you need at least a desktop with 98 and a comm port to use any of these programs.
