Run A/C without PCM?
This question pertains to a 1994 - 1996 Camaro Z28 (LT1): Would it be possible to retain the use of the air conditioning system if the PCM is removed? I was contemplating a carbureted intake swap and was wondering if I would still be able to use this system if the computer is non-functional.
i was looking at a service manual and there are five wires that go into the PCM that are relevant to the A/C system:
A/C Request Signal
A/C Clutch Status
A/C Clutch Control
A/C Pressure Sensor In
A/C Evap Temperature Sensor In
or should i just keep the PCM in the car just to run the A/C and to keep my factory gauges functional? i want to retain the factory gauges to keep things looking clean and stock.
Thanks!

You just answered your own question. But why would you want to go back to an antiquated carburetor
