Removing Jet Chip

A Jet Stage 1 Chip was installed on my car before i bought it....i am planning on removing it temporarily and i was wondering how to do it. If i just unplug the chip, will the PCM revert back to its stock tuning? Does it need to be re-tuned? Thanks.

Re: Removing Jet Chip

No, you don't need to retune after removing it because the jet is inline with your harness. It doesn't change your factory tune any. The only thing I think though is there is one wire on the jet that is tapped into one of your factory wires in your harness. Make sure that wire is still in one piece and has a good connection when removing the Jet. Hope you don't plan on putting the Jet back on, cause they don't do much anyway. Better off with a mail tune or tuning yourself.
