radiator fan stuck

about a week ago i had to remove fan #1 to make a little space while replacing my distributor, at then end of the day i put it back in and started the car, now the fan is stuck in what seems like over drive.

i've tried unplugging it and plugging it back in and i've replaced the relay but its still always on.

has anyone else had this happen?

Any other Adverse conditions? Could you have knocked the plug off of the CTS on the W/P housing? Just a shot in the dark, but it sounds like it fell into a fail safe mode. Any codes?

Re: radiator fan stuck

You did not list year and model of the car.. Your ID implies '95..F-Body.. If so swap all 3 fan relays with the a/c,air Pump and fog light relays. See if it fixes the fan or moves to something else(a/c, fogs, air pump) not working. To verify your problem is the left fan running in high speed whenever key is on..also try key-off / pull relay / key on does fan stop running. Here is a schematic ref shoebox.. '95 used bottom picture http://shbox.com/1/fan_schematic_1995.jpg

Re: radiator fan stuck

There is another thread plus post #2 above post that reminded me that certain DTC's will run the fans.. However you said only one fan is running which is not a normal situation for later '94 and above (three relay system) F-Body. If only one is running and you have 3 relays then something is broken..Have not seen any updates so this may be a dead issue...
