Questions about datamaster

I just used datamaster for the first time last weekend and I have a couple of questions of which I'm sure there are many more to follow. First off, it told me after I had stopped recording that COM1 was no longer available and I needed to slect another COM port. I tried COM 2 but got nothing. I completely closed Datamaster and reopened it and I was able to make another log. Is this normal? Second, is there any limit to how long a record can be? I was recording and it stopped after only about 3.5-4 mins. Thanks

I have used datamaster and you can record for a long time, you can start and stop several times just don't close the little screen. Now about the com 1 and com 2 port, mine did it when i first got the program but not scince. i guess i got it figured out??

You have to click to stop recording data before you close the little window that comes up when you select to record data.
