Questions?

I have 95 Z28, rebuilt 383 stroker, forged pistons bored .30 over, new crank, rebuilt stock heads, XFI™ Extreme Fuel Injection 280XFI HR13 cam, headers, new distributor, 58mm throttle body, bigger solenoids for nitrous blah blah blah....it has **** done to it lol. I also bought a LT1 Edit a few years back for this too. I've did very little to it with the Edit, but i had it on the dyno this past summer and tuned professionally. I watched him to see what he did. All he did was get that fat *** down to 12.8 A/F using the VE table and lil PE adjustment, did some tweaking with the timing and that was it. Mind you the dyno was based on a milder cam thats peak was 5500rpm. Made 353 max power, 372 ft-lbs at 5500 then planned off. Hence new cam.

So the question, i look at the Edit and i see so many variables, IAC, IAC throttle follower vs MPH, cylinder balance, BLM control, injector offset vs volts and i wonder if any are worth playing around?

thanks for your input

Re: Questions?

Not if you don't know what they do, or if you don't have a way to measure your results. You could tweak the programming, do some logging and get rid of obvious problems. And some of the driveability tuning is subjective, but the performance part of it needs to be measured somehow, even by logging some 0-100 runs and analyzing the results, then making minor changes to fuel and timing and going at it again until you are happy with the performance.

Re: Questions?

Well im mostly talking about drivability. I do have a scan tool and i resently put a wideband gauge on my car. I wanna know more about the BLMs and if i change the boundries around would it be better? have less cells in action? and sometimes the car idles high, or even surges sometimes
