Question about Tunercat

I was just wondering if it could be used on more than one car at a time. Per say if i owned to camaros could i use it on them both. Or would i have to buy another program.

Also same question regarding LT1 edit. I believe ive seen this answered before but i didnt get it in my search

The software packages can be used on multiple cars. TunerCat will work on any number of cars right out of the box, whereas LT1_Edit requires a hardware module which needs to be programmed by the company to include each VIN for each car, at a price of course.

The hardware module part is only true for OBDII versions.
The 94-95 LT1_edit just needs some files updated by carputing to make it work on more cars....

Tunercat can be used on any number of cars for no charge. So if you and your buddies all have, for example, 94-95 Z28s, Corvettes, or Impalas with the LT1, you can tune every single car and it won't cost you an extra cent. Same thing for every definition file they have. LT1_Edit, you have to pay more for more VINs. But I've heard you can cheat with a program that changes the VIN # on files. Personally, though, I see no reason to buy LT1_Edit unless you need to edit a 96-97 LT1 or an LS1. Tunercat is cheaper and does the exact same thing.

Yes TC will work on multiple cars. I have two 93 FBods and one 93 Corvette. So I bought one cable, one copy of TC and because the def files are different for the fBod ($DA3) and the YBod ($DA2) I had to purchase both def files.

It all works swimmingly well. Now if they could just get the LS1 program out!
