Exclamation Programming Retard for Nitrous/or msd?

I have the msd retard, but the dyno tuner says it is better to just program it in the computer instead of using the retard box. I also have the digital window switch and am using a wot switch. What do you suggest? Thanks.

Depends...

You don't want to pull timing out of the standard timing table in the PCM. That would cause you to lose performance when running NA. But I believe I saw a thread here in the past two weeks that explained how you could use one of the TCS tables in the PCM to invoke timing retard when you sprayed. Might want to try a "search" and see if you can find the thread. It was a really clever way of handling the problem.

EDIT: Found the link:

Thanks Injuneer. That is pretty much what I thought. I read that thread on the the TCS. I also thought that pulling the timing out would decrease performance when running NA. I need to call them to make sure they do this correctly. I definately know that I don't want it to be done half a$$. Atleast the GENX2 is taking them longer than excpected and won't be tuning till the morning. Thanks again for your input, I apreciate it.
