Question Problems w/ FreeScan

I just started using TunerCat and I recieved a copy of FreeScan but it dosen't work. I changed it from a Lotus Esprit to a '94 Camaro (even though I have a '95 T/A but I'm guessing they're the same) I'm recieving data via the "status Window" but nothing seems to work. (ie 'dashboard' 'ECU Report' 'Engine Data' etc. has no data Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Do you start communication with your com port first? Does Tuner Cat work on your laptop? Some do have problems with freescan, try Datamaster (TTS).

What I do is hook up the OBD connector and power up the laptop. Then I start up FreeScan and click 'Start' I can see messages poping up really quickly in the 'status window' but it looks like errors TunerCat does work though

Did you select "Interact"? If not, FreeScan won't request any data.

I think that might be it. Someone else also suggested that today. I just didn't try it last night b/c I wasn't sure what it would do

Thanks for the info everyone!

Yes, hit INTERACT and FORCE DATA if need be, I discovered by just clicking fricking buttons and it worked, once I figured it out it was the same on all computers/laptops that I've tried since, and has helped several people as well.
