Question PO Code

I've got a 96 Z28...been having trouble getting it to start when it gets real could outside. Driving home after work last night, the check engine light comes on. Take it to Autozone today and the guy said its a PO-1141-fuel restriction indicator circuit malfunction. Anyone know what exactly this means? One of the guys there said it's probably water in the fuel, so i went ahead and bought a can of ISO-Heat, I figured it wouldn't hurt to try. Ideas anyone?

Re: PO Code

Might want to check the code again... I checked 3 of my manuals, and Shoebox's online code guide for 4th Gen OBD-II, and none of them lists that code. In fact, the 11xx series is generally used for O2 sensor problems. And, there is no "fuel restrictor indicator" on an LT1 that I am aware of.

Perhaps he meant it was an O2 sensor triggering on a "lean" condition, that might possibly indicate the fuel delivery was "restricted" (among other possible causes)?

Question Re: PO Code

I'm pretty sure he was right because he plugged it in and showed me the code it read and we went inside and looked it up on their computer and again he showed me what the information said about a PO-1141...I thought about just taking it to the chevy dealer and seeing if their machine pulled something different.
