OK My F'ing laptop died while reprogramming my PCM , it got about 40% into the install of the new program when it died. Now I get errors when I try to connect to the PCM because it doesn't have a program in it at all!!! I use tunercat and when it loads a program it looks to see if it can read the existing program then it erases it and loads the new one! Well it erased it and never completed the new one, so now when I try to load anything, it will try to read the PCM and errors because there isn't a program for it to read!

What are my options??? Is there a program out there that will load without trying to read the PCM first??? Is there an .ini file that runs tunercat that I can modify to tell it to not read first??? How might I fix this???

Yes, I did search, because I know I read about this before, but I could find it by searching! Any info on this will be helpful, this happened at the track friday night and I had to get it towed to a budies house and I don't want it sitting there for too long!

Wow, Noone has anything that might help!!! I called Bryan and he said he can fix it. So I guess I might as well be another happy PCMFORLESS customer, we will see though! If anyone comes up with anything please let me know or I will be sending my stuff to Bryan.

 

You have no other option than to mail the PCM to Bryan or Ion(madwolf) and have the chips replaced.

 

yeah I just saw Ion fixes it, but Bryan is not far from me so I am going to drop it off in the morning and save on shipping. Bryan is a little more expensive but it is similar to Ion's when you include shipping, plus shorter turnaround because I can go right to Bryan's place and bother him
