Is there another site out there with (no offense) more experienced tuners?

Is the LT1 Edit mailing list still around?
I was never on it, and don't plan to be. Same info can come out of here and ,most of the time, from the same people.

The mailing list is still active and for someone like me that is just getting started....the mailing lists produce way to many e-mails.

It would be great if it had a searchable archive.

Below is the site to join if you are interested.

I can, I have posted questions there several times and had them completely ignored. Seems unless you're talking about MAF's and/or you're one of the few who are members of the "in" crowd there your questions aren't worth answering.

Granted some of the questions asked there are just plain stupid, or very basic, but I've also seen legitimate questions passed over numerous times.

There is some great info to be found there, just dont expect much hospitality.

Heh...sorry Jason. I was referring to this forum and not the mailing list. I don't bother with them anymore either.

Here in this forum it seems like most questions get answered or at least someone throws and idea or 2 out. Seems like the only ones that don't get answered are questions that are asked frequently and people could find answers to if they did a search.
Other than that the guys here are quite helpful.

the main issue why your questions don't get answered either on here or on the LT1 edit mailing list is ignorance on the person whos asking the questions side. people expect their problem to be solved within 5 minutes of posting their thread and thats not possible. one reason is that the information often provided is so vague that theres 100 possible solutions and nobody wants to spend 30 min typing them all out. when someone gets the slightest hesitation or misfire... they immediately come on here instead of getting the car scanned or checking things out for themselves first. people just need to take a little time and use the seach option and if that doesnt answer some questions and lead a guy in the right direction.. THEN they should ask some questions. some advice i can give is to read around about how these computers work so you have some foundation to work from.. that will help you out and everyone trying to work with you on a solution.

I assure you I have a decent clue as to how the ECM/PCM works. I didnt not expect a response in 5min, an hour, or even a day. Nor did I scream for help the instant my car had a hiccup, I spent weeks trying to remedy the problem myself before posting anything.

Of course none of that mattered, I doubt anyone gave my question a 2nd thought (if it was read at all). All anyone wanted to do there is beat the same dead horse over and over (the function of VE tables on MAF cars). I actually recieved more help from the guys at thirdgen.org than from the LT1Edit list.

Of course the same thing happens here (alot) but at least I normally get some sort of response to my questions, even if its just an "I don't know."

Ok, done venting now

I agree.

You can find my thread in the Forced Induction section...

As you will see, I've spent weeks on this problem.
