nope the pcm does not monitor the fuel pressure. you need to get it back down.

Sounds like your adjustable regulator is no good. Try the stock one.

Re: Pcm tunning for Fuel press?

You can tune for some difference in fuel pressure, and I would say that you could tune to compensate for most of that difference, but that doesn't change the fact that you DEFINITELY have a problem there! Tuning around that is just going to make a potentially serious problem.

Even if you get it tuned so that it runs better, you risk the injectors going static on you at such high pressure...

what does static mean??? I assume that it means damaged injectors in some way.

you could lock them open or closed, and either way it's bad.

either way would not fix a thing. it wouldnt even compensate for anything

Raising the injector constant could compensate for the added flow of the increased fuel pressure. HOWEVER, as I said before, it does not fix the problem, it just attempts to work around it.

Just curious... what brand was the AFPR? Any chance it was an Aeromotive.

Aren't the Aeromotives good for the diaphragm rupturing?

I see an awful lot of people posting problems with brand new Aeromotive units, and when I post that info, 5 people will post and tell me their Aeromotive AFPR works fine.... so I was just curious if this was yet another data point to indicate the Aeromotive stuff was not very good. But this one is a Holley.

Re: Pcm tunning for Fuel press?

I have had my Aeromotive AFPR for 4 years now and no problems so far. What do you guys like to use for base fuel pressure on an LT1? I just bought a new Sunpro fuel pressure gauge to verify mine, and it was like 48psi with the vacuum hose on, and 54 off. I brought it down to about 38 with vacuum, and 44 with it off. Havent test driven it yet, but it sure hasnt helped my split BLM problem at idle
