PCM Tuning with Aftermarket MAF
Correct. You would also want to run stock PE tables (or, at least PE tables calibrated for the stock AFR). The PE tables from the factory are too rich, and aftermarket MAFs like this attempt to correct it by lying about the airflow to the PCM.
I guess my question would be, why buy a Granatelli MAF for that purpose, when you could achieve the same end results with a tune, for about 1/3 the cost of the Granatelli? Doesn't make any sense.
Honestly I'm new to the whole ECM programming thing, I'm not new to engine building(built pleant of ground ups), or even 4th gen f-body's I've owned 4, But used the HPP PLUS w/a custom module for the power port (huge waste of money)or jet stage II back in the day.
Well I got a Grantelli -C now, so I'll deal with it, But as Farm as programming, I'm using Cat tuner, and Modiying the stock Tables off a JET II modified table, But I won't chage the MAF Cailbration or the PE tables, so what else is there to change?
1994 T/a 6 spd, Headers, no Cat, Flowmaster, CAI, Del-teq, Egr Delete, A/c Delete, AIR Delete, CCP Delete, 52 MM TB, accel injectors but there 24lbs,
all ready did all the EGR and constant table stuff
