I'm completely new to programming for the LT1 and assembling everything I need. I have the opportunity to obtain a PCM and LT1 Edit, but this PCM is configured for a 6 speed and my car is an A4.

Will I be able to change the transmission in this PCM so that I can use it for my initial experimentation with LT1 tuning?

 

Sure just get an A4 file and flash the PCM

 

if i remember right you have to have a a4 pcm for a auto but a stick can do either

 

If I flask the PCM with the programming from my current Automatic PCM is this going to wipe out the VIN number in the other PCM that is tied to the LT1 Edit program?

Is there a way to change the VIN# in the PCM so that I could use LT1 edit with both of these PCM's?
