where does this chip install??? i keep hearing about these mail order tunes how hard is the install.

 

i take it you have a 93 car?

I'm not completely sure, but i think it installs in the back of the pcm.

 

yea sry bout that it is a 93 camaro where does this exactly install in the pcm under the hood by the firewall??????????????????????? or somewhere else that i dont know about.

 

yeah ..the pcm is located by the passenger side fender under the cowl. I think it installs somehow into the pcm.

maybe somebody else will chime in.

 

If you send me a email (chips@pcmforless.com) i'll send you a pdf copy of the install instructions that way you can get an idea.

 

first you drain the blinker fluid, rotate your driveshaft, and balance your muffler

or they will send you the file and you can load the software into your pcm, providing you have the cables (which cost extra money)

or you can pay the core charge and they will send you a pcm with the tune already in it, you replace your pcm with the one they sent you adn send them back your old one and u get your core charge back minus $10.

 

Funny post unless of course you read he has a 93, and know that his ECM uses EPROMS.

I guess you were overfilled with fluids or wrapped around the axle when you replied to this post eh

 

GOOD ONE I TOLD A FRIEND WHO IS NEW TO THE FBODY WORLD TO CHECK HIS ALTERNATOR FLUID AND HE STARTED LOOKING KEEP IN MIND HE HAS A HORRIBLE TATTOO OF TWO PISTONS CROSSING A SKULL. IT WAS CLASSIC.
