Pardon My Ignorance but . . .

I'm planning the 4l60e to t56 swap, and I have Lt1 Edit.

I am led to believe that I simply upload any file from a t56 equipped f-bod into my pcm. Then download it, modify timing fueling maps etc, then reload with the new values.

Is this correct?

Correct.
You should use a 95 flash though.
If your car is pretty much stock, all you'll have to do is just modify for the gears. If you have changes to your programming done, then copying and pasting the timing and fuel tables should work just fine. Sometimes manuals like a little less timing, so if you'll be getting some knock retard, keep that in mind.

Thankyou for that info Madwolf!

I've got a 94 flash. Will that be alright do you think, or will it likely cause problems?

It's best to use a 95 flash because the 95 has upgraded engine calibration tables.

I emailed you what you need though.

Since you have a 94, you need a 94 M6 flash... and I sent you one.

You are the MAN, Madwolf!

Any idea what is different in the "latest" GM 95 flash, from what the original was?

The 95 6 speed only went through 1 update. They fixed something related to EGR in the newer release.

Automatics typically go through more updates, especially 94s.

I've got my egr blocked off. Will I be affected in any way? I know it doesn't seem likely, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

No, just disable the EGR code.... I think on a 95, it won't set a code anyway.
