Open Loop Question/ Bog off idle (Wideband)
Open Loop Question/ Bog off idle (Wideband)
Hello everyone. I am tuning my car, and the car is tuned to run in open loop the entire time. I just installed a LM-1 Wideband and the cars AF at idle seems ok 14.4-14.9. Driving around its in the 13's, and once I go WOT, it goes 11.7-11.8!!! I also have lt1-edit, but the table in there is open loop temp vs. kpa. How do I know what temp row to adjust if they are all in C? Also I notice that when I get off the throttle, i get really lean spikes 16.0-21.0 AF and the cars exhaust "pops". Do I make adjustments to the decel table?
Last part, is I am getting a bog/dead spot off of idle. (M6) When I try to take off, normally, it kinda falls on its face/bog/dead spot, and then it revs up and drives fine. Any ideas on what this could be? Timing?
Thanks a Million Guys!

Yeah generally there should be a tip in aticipate for fuel table like FAST has etc... but no tables out yet for LT1s.
To help get rid of the situation is you generally want to see when you tip the gas what the timing goes to, I had to have mine up there pretty high so 10* difference is added between closed throttle and open for that one bit.
Then, another thing that helps is close the throttle blades more, I tried with a more so open blades and the car just wants to die, so close the blades more because when you tip in the IAC passeges don't change count for more air if the PCM sees it doesn't need more air for that split second but the more the blades are open at idle, the more air will be seen in the intake if the blades are opne 8% and you tip the gas then 5% and you tip the gas, less air will help from stalling your car because it will prevent getting such a lean mixture so close those blades.
The other thing I noticed had to be done is see what my IAC counts at idle were which were 90, then I took the minimum IAC counts and brought it to 80, the IAC will still be allowed to go lower then 80 if it is required, but if the table has a minimum of 80, what happens is when you come to a stop the IAC rushes down real fast, if it's set to stock 35 what happens is the IAC overshoots and goes to 40 then realizes your idle is dieing and rushes back up.
When I set her at 80 she rushes down to about 95 and slows down and by that time the idle is normal so the IAC doesn't come flying down to 40 or so.
Just some notes to help your car idle/drive fine. Also, I brought the IAC follower table up when coming to a stop.
If you have throttle problems, try increasing the 0-12mph numbers as well.
