Re: Open Loop PE tuning?

It uses the MAF tables & the Open loop Temp vs. Load table, obviously injector count etc...

Re: Open Loop PE tuning?

well since hes using SPEED DENSITY TUNE and had his BLMs locked so tight his care makes almost ZERO correction in closed loop mode. Like he said this enables him to still make use of the PE tables. SO now his car uses the VE TABLES for all fueling and the PE tables are refered to for additional or subtraction of fuel at WOT. Again this is ONLY because he has closed loop enabled.

If you were to enable OPEN LOOP and SPEED DENSITY then you would be using the OPEN LOOP fueling table and your VE TABLES to fueling. PE tables will never be referenced in this mode.

In OPEN LOOP with the MAF on your car will referece your OPEN LOOP AFR tables and your MAF tables. But I must say modifying MAF tables has never done anything but cause trouble for me. But I finally got my header leaked solved and Im going to go back to tuning with my wideband and SPEED DENSITY mode.

We must be having a terminology problem here, but not more than 12 hours ago I spent three hours on the dyno watching AF ratio change by adjusting the PE table.

well last trip out to the dyno I subtracted fuel ( using the OPEN LOOP AFR table) on the 2nd run and gained power, then subtracted alittle more fuel be4 the 3rd run. After the 3rd run the Air Fuel ratio was back to what it was on the very 1st run !!!!! but I had 23 more horsepower Bascially what I am saying is engine TEMP and air conditions in the dyno room play a roll in AFR as well as timing tables. certain engine temps call for changes in the timing tables which will show a richer/leaner AFR. I havent figured out all the EXCEPTIONS to why the dyno showed my AFR just as rich as pull #1 yet I had 23 more HP. Its a mystery that I attribute to dyno air conditions and engine temps. If the dyno room doesnt have adeqate venhilation it will defiantly effect your AFR.

I can assure your PE tables ARE NOT referenced in an OPEN LOOP tune.
