Question OBDII to I conversion- Can still diagnosis computer problems?

I have a 96 z28. I took out the OBDII and Put in a OBDI tuned to my new engine mods. I have an ABS inop light that came on a few hundred miles ago. What do i do to diagnose a OBDI on a OBDII jack???

what type of scanner are you using. for most scanners that use vin #'s to know how to talk to the vehicle, when it asks for the tenth digit, try putting in a "s" or "r" instead of the "t" you would normally put. also, obdI diagnostics are not as detailed as obdII, and it isn't programmed to acknowledge the crank sensor(no more missfire check engine lights). any more questions, give me a call at 713.476.0684

Well, your ABS codes aren't stored in the PCM so it really doesn't matter. If you want to check the engine, run it as a 95 as they also used the OBD2 connector with the OBD1 PCM. To check your ABS just put everything in as normal.
