Which OBDI Cable?

I'm a little confused. I've read that 94's (the year of my car) need the 16 pin cable on one website and 12 on another. Can anyone clarify that for me with the correct cable. Links would be appreciated.

abcTIGER:
1995 has the 16 pin OBD2 stlyle jack with an OBD1 ECU. A 1994 should be a 12 pin jack to OBD1 ECU. Someone with a 1994 should be along to confirm soon.

abc, unless you have an oddball, '94's are 12 pin ODB1. You can verify by looking at the connector 12 pin is boxy shaped or you can just count the pins. It's located under the front of dash just to the right of the steering column. Here's a site that has connector pictures, but ignore the paperclip procedure to read codes, that only works on pre '94 PCM's not on the flashable ones we have. ' http://www.aldlcable.com/ '

94 is definitely a 12-pin. But simply taking a look at it and counting the pins would answer your concerns. Always surprises me when people don't just provide the link to Shoebox's stuff..... guaranteed 100% accurate:

To answer the original poster's question, all F-body cars year 1994 have the 12 pin OBD1-style port. Unless your car has been modified for some strange reason, any standard OBD1-style interface cable will work. There have been some 1994 Y-body cars that had the OBD2-style 16 pin interface installed, but they are uncommon. I would do what Injuneer suggested and count the number of pins. That way you can make sure what styel port your have.
